Who could possibly bring high fashion chic to a comic book? None other than Tom Ford of course! The new fall ads, shot by the designer himself, brings forth a comic/retro/glam feel that I am absolutely loving!

Showcasing abstract and animal prints, this collection will be filling the closets of fashionistas everywhere!

I can already see Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, and Gwen Stefani wearing some of these pieces this fall!

FASHION NEWS: SARAH JESSICA PARKER + MANOLO BLAHNIK = BEST COLLABORATION EVER!

Carrie Bradshaw is back and she’s here to stay!  Sarah Jessica Parker is teaming up with Manolo Blahnik.Yes those Manolos! The same shoes that became a constant staple and instant fashion hit for six seasons on ‘Sex and the City’. The actress and the CEO of Manolo Blahnik, George Malkemuso are creating a line of bags, shoes, and trenches. During an interview with VOGUE, Parker announced the news saying,  “In a silly way, I think it’s what people have expected of me most because of Carrie Bradshaw.”

So what can fans and fashionistas expect from the new line, aptly titled ‘SJP’? Well, for starters the line will run exclusively at Nordstrom early next year. The line will feature pumps and flats which will run between $200 and $300. “Because I got to play that role, I wore a lot of shoes,” Parker said. “And by  default I learned an enormous amount. It’s hard to walk away from that.”

Bags and trenches are also part of the fashionable menu.  “We’re putting new colors together that people don’t typically do, just  beautiful combinations that you wish existed in your closet.”  Don’t be surprised if your bag has a vintage feel to them, Parker is getting inspiration from “the period of the seventies into the  eighties”.

So, SJP is bringing Carrie back! Some call this irony, I call it fashion fate! 2014 is looking better than ever!

FASHION NEWS: JENNIFER LAWRENCE IS ‘MISS DIOR’

So there is a reason why she’s been wearing Christian Dior couture to all of this seasons award shows.   Following in the footsteps of Mila Kunis, 22-year-old Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence has a taken on a new, fashionable role as Miss Dior. “Inspired by Dior’s exceptional craftsmanship”, the colored quilted lambskin bag is crafted with ‘Cannage’ stitching and is the brands most “modern and versatile” collection. Miss Lawrence stuns in the ad campaign. She brings forth a ladylike demure that only an Academy Award winning actress can, and these photos were shot before she had even won! STUNNING.

FASHION NEWS: RIHANNA IS HAVING ‘THE BEST WEEK EVER’!

This week just got better for Rihanna. On Sunday she debuted her collaboration with River Island aptly titled Rihanna for River Island, today marks her 25th birthday, and today also marks the day that Riri is embarking on a new “creative partnership” with M.A.C. Cosmetics. This girl puts in work, it’s only Wednesday, there’s still 3 more days left in the week!

WWD reported that M.A.C. and Rihanna have creatively partnered for  RiRi Hearts MAC., four limited edition color collections set to launch throughout 2013. This collection marks a first for both Rihanna and M.A.C., being that Rihanna has never partnered with a cosmetics giant such as them, and M.A.C. has never worked with a celebrity on a long-term collaborative effort before.

RiRi Woo“, a play on the brand’s iconic ‘Ruby Woo’  shade, is the signature lip color that each collection will be built around.  ‘RiRi Woo’ will launch first, online and at Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds Tour’ performances at Barclays Center on May 4th-5th.  The remaining three color collections will follow, throughout summer, fall, and the holidays. So all of Rihanna’s loyal navy will have a chance to get there perfectly manicured hands on the entire collection. The summer collection will be sold online, and the fall and holiday will be sold in stores.

CREATIVE PARTNERSHIPS ARE THE NEW BLACK. Gone are the days of just having a famous face endorse your product, these celebs are actually putting in the work and effort to make it just as much their brand than the brands themselves. And I love it! I’m very excited to see this collection and what it has to offer. In any event, it can’t be nearly as bad as her fash trash collection for the River Island. Sorry RiRi, Miss Monet was not a fan. But something tells me I will be of this. Stay tuned…..

Today, Beyoncè’s March 2013 cover for VOGUE leaked and I have to be honest this was a major disappointment. She graces the mag’s Power 2013 issue, but there’s nothing powerful about this cover, it actually looks like a candid shot or a shot that caught Mrs. Carter off guard. This was a major letdown considering I practically drooled over  ‘The Mrs. Carter Show’ world tour promo shots. And what sucks even more is that this cover and spread was shot by world famous photographer Annie Leibovitz. So who’s to blame? Annie? Ms Wintour? Or did Sasha Fierce not show up to play that day?

FASHION NEWS: Tory Burch Enters the Billionaires Club

Tory Burch is a billionaire. Yes billionaire with a ‘B’, and if that’s not a great way to start the year off I don’t know what is.  Although I am not a fan of her designs, I am a fan of her work ethic, and how well she runs her empire. And clearly she runs it very, very well. From starting her company in her kitchen (talk about humble beginnings)  to joining the 2013 Forbes World’s Billionaires list in March, she has made a good use of the last decade. Hearing this news was definitely motivational for me, I admire people who beat the odds, especially women, it gives me hope and inspires me to push forward with my dreams.  To go from starting a fashion label out of your home in 2004, to now being the second youngest self-made billionaire in America proves that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

Congratulations Ms. Burch I hope your empire continues to blossom!
